MEXA attended a Board Meeting of the National Wage Consultative Council (Minimum wage) on the 27th April 2022.
In the meeting, the Chairman of the council stated that, as per the National Wage Consultative Act ,the next review of the Minimum wage will come into force in January 2025.
In that instance, the National Wage Consultative Council is officially starting the process and discussion on the revision of the National Minimum wage.
We would also like to highlight that in the meeting, the Trade Union representatives made a request to the Government to consider implementing the Additional Remuneration (salary compensation) in June instead of January, exceptionally for this year.
